Pedal to the Metal...

I almost forgot that I promised you a sneak peek at my progress. I should have taken a  photo earlier in the afternoon so the color would have been better. But, after all, it IS just a "sneak" peek, so here you go. It's not a great photo- just snapped quickly after I stuck a few blocks up on the design wall, but it gives you an idea what I'm doing. It's been another good day for sewing - that can also translate to  It's been another terrible weather day... ice pellets most of the day, a little freezing rain and now it's snowing like crazy. Looks like another blizzard out there.... Tomorrow is April 1st. April Fool's Day... I guess the joke is on us. Our front lawn has at least four feet of snow, other areas where it has drifted are five to six feet tall - a drift right outside our family room window is over six feet, for sure. It's beginning to block Ollie's view...he's not impressed (just like the rest of us...)

Peace,
Linda

Four feet of snow? Oh my! I think you'd better keep warm and keep stitching!

Happy April!

This is nice Linda! I like the arrangement of your blocks. We lost internet yesterday in the freezing rain but the power stayed on. Can't see outside yet to view how much new snow we have. More on the way today and a promise of more on the weekend! Will it ever end?

Quite a year for snow back East. Yikes. We are, as usual, in T-shirt and flip flops weather here in B.C.
Sorry, that wasn't nice was it.
At least you are putting your housebound time to good use. Looks like a very pretty piece.

I like it, and the title of your post Linda.
More sun today to melt more of our snow - yay!

Quilt reports and weather reports! You got to love a blog that keeps you so informed! We have started home but I am waiting for the report that says the snow is finally gone before we make the last leg of the journey. I'm enjoying your quilt update. I have had a string quilt on my mind lately, and yours is a beaut.

I so love your blue string quilt. We are certainly having lots of sewing time these days with the weather we have been having. I am thinking of going South again until that white stuff is all gone. Have you ever taught a string quilt class like it? Might be an idea for the Fall maybe. Lucy

I missed this posting Linda. Love the quilt so far. The colours are beautiful. Glad that storm is behind us and the sun is melting the snow down ever so slowly. Enjoy the (rainy/snowy) weekend!
