There certainly are some mysteries going on around here. (I'm wondering if we have leprechauns sneaking around a little early for St. Patty's Day...?) Last week, the little TV in my studio lost it's sound. Just out of the blue. One day it worked fine. The next day there was no sound. Just like that, for no apparent reason. Dead. Hubby and son both tinkered and tried everything they could think of, to no avail. Then the very next day, my laptop crashed. It worked fine one day, the next day when I turned it on, this terrible grinding sound... and.. nothing. Seems the hard drive died a swift and painful death. Just like that. Gone.
Laura was home on the weekend, and went through all her kitchen stuff from her Halifax apartment, to organize and pack some things up. Yup, you guessed it - the leprechauns got to her stuff too- all her pots and pans are missing. Now I ask you, where do pots and pans trot off to??? Do they melt? Vaporize? Evaporate into thin air? How can they just disappear when everything else is there, in one spot? I don't get it...
Ollie isn't telling anything, if he knows. He's good at keeping secrets. He's lounging on the back of the couch, keeping a close watch on the weather... (or maybe he's on leprechaun watch?) We have a nasty storm moving in; just what we need - more snow. We're to get about a foot apparently, mixed with ice pellets at times, and high winds overnight. It started a short while ago with fine snow but it's starting to snow a little harder now. I'm going to hunker down in my studio and do some sewing, and ponder the biggest mystery of all- why won't winter just GO AWAY?!!
Peace,
Linda

Linda, We are getting the same weather here too. don't you just love it!!
I can't speak about your daughter's pots and pans but we lost a lot of techy things such as Fax, Printer, Computer monitor, harddrive x 3, computer board in my kitchen range x 3, etc.... I have lost count.. it is either planned obsolescence or power surges. it gets kind of expensive.... and frustrating.
Well I can understand the computer dying, because that is how they do it - at the most inconvenient time possible. And TVs tend to just stop working too. But pots and pans??? That is a mystery. Who else had a key to the place? Hope you get everything sorted soon.
Ollie looks as he could be meditating, soood deep in thought. I hope you find the pots and pans. Take care in the snow and stay warm.
Well, you've had an interesting time lately. I wonder where the pots and pans went to? Out by the road by mistake? Or Value Village? Yeah, nice storm eh? And rain for Saturday maybe? M-e-s-s-y! Ollie looks quite content to stare out the window. Does he look guilty? :)
They say luck come in threes. Let's hope this bad luck is now over . Yikes that is a lot of snow , we are getting rain , maybe you should move to NS. :-) hope it isn't too bad for you , take care.
I hope this is the last bad storm! Sending you some warm hugs my friend! Hugs!
Was just thinking. Maybe the cupboard under my sink in Halifax never got cleaned out: thats where I kept the pots, turkey pan, some cookie containers like you have at home, my dish pan and drying rack....none of them are home either?????
Not that I am a cat whisperer or anything but Ollie appears to be innocent on all counts. Give that sweetie a pet from me :)
I can see the tv and computer but your daughter's pots and pans are very perplexing. I hope everything works out soon.
Stay warm, my friend. It is MARCH already...seriously. Although, our high tomorrow is 68 degrees (a cold front for us).
Have you looked for the pots and pans where the lost socks go? BTW, I do NOT miss winter at all, here in norton California. Come visit me, Linda.
Love your sweet kitty...we lost ours a few years ago after about 18 years and lately I've been thinking about getting another. They are so precious and I miss mine so much.
We are having the same awful storm that you are Linda...the wind woke me up at 3 A.M. this morning, and ice pellets hitting the windows in between the snow. We've got well over a foot of snow already and it seems it's just not going to let up for quite awhile...maybe mid-afternoon. I've been thinking about you because we are seriously thinking and looking at a sweet little house close to the border of Canada in a small town in Maine near the Croix River. As soon as this weather lets up I think we'll be taking a trip up to take a look. I keep thinking how nice it would be to be able to meet you and get together once in a while...maybe someday. Thanks Linda for all of your kind and lovely comments.
Hugs, Kathy
Should be northern California!
I am sure Ollie is guarding the house. Pots and pans, really!?!
Keep us posted, please.
