May Notecards

Spring has been a long time coming, and it is still cool and wet, we are definitely behind this year. So I am dreaming of the blooms that are still to come, to herald the true arrival of spring in these parts... I know we'll be seeing all these beauties in another few weeks... Can't wait!

I think these would make nice notecards for just dropping a note to a friend, or even a Birthday or other special occasion card- especially for a nature lover! Gotta love Spring Wildflowers....

April Note Card Party

It's time for Vee's Note Card Party again. This meme asks us to choose four photos from our archives which would make nice note cards.(at least one must have appeared previously on the blog).

I decided to use four photos from my recent visit to Florida this time around. I think they would make a nice set of cards for just dropping a friendly note to a friend to say "hello".. something many of us don't do often enough these days...

It's Notecard Party time again. Vee graciously hosts this meme each month and it's such fun to see what everyone has chosen for their card collection.

I often need a card to send to a quilter friend, whether for a Thank you, a birthday card or whatever, so this month I have chosen some of my quilts as my subject.

February Notecard Party and Spring Thoughts...

It's time again for Vee's Notecard Party. I missed it last month, so didn't want to miss out again.. these monthly memes are fun and I've met so many nice people by participating. SO here goes...
I've said it more than once.. (but here I go again) I'm sick and tired of winter!! It's never been my favourite season, but this year it seems to be extra long and tiresome. Enough already! I have not felt one bit inspired to go out and take photos this winter, in fact, I've been "hibernating" even more than I usually do.. So I've decided for this month's Notecard Party, I'm going to pretend I live somewhere warm.... somewhere where you can look out the window and see green.  And flowers. And gardens. And SPRING!!! So here are my choices for some "spring-y" notecards. I hope all my blogging friends who are also tired of this seemingly never-ending winter and its snowstorms will enjoy this little breath of spring and color.... (I haven't yet looked at what the other participants have done this time around, but I'm wondering if others, especially those in the northern realms, are thinking the same way I am ...Surely I'm not the only one feeling tired of winter).

December Notecard Party

Vee's Notecard Party

It's mid month again and so it's time for
Vee's Notecard Party. I've had a busy few days so I'm a little late to the Party! (What else is new?) Each month, participants select up to four photos (at least several which have been published previously on their blog) which they feel would make good notecards. Also, this month Vee suggested that we make a "Box Top" collage for the box of said notecards so you'll see that at the end of the post.
I have to say I struggled with selections this month. I haven't been out much with my camera lately... November does not inspire me....
Regardless, I have chosen four  images; they aren't as cohesive a group as I would like, but  here we go...

October Note Card Party

It's time once again for Vee's Note Card Party. We are in the midst of fall and it seems most people are choosing autumn-themed shots this time around. So who am I to argue? I have a number of friends with autumn birthdays and I sometimes use a fall-themed notecard to send them birthday wishes. I've been using the same few (favourite) images for a while now, so it's time to add some new possibilities to the notecard drawer. Here we go....

Vee's Notecard Party

It's time again for Vee's Notecard Party. The rules are simple- you are asked to post four photos (which have previously appeared on your blog) that you feel would make good notecards. Couldn't get much simpler could it? Of course you link back to Vee at her blog once the Mr. Linky gadget is posted. It's such fun to see everyone's work and there certainly are some GREAT photographers out there in blogland!! This party happens on the third Wednesday of each month. Why don't you consider joining in on the fun?

Isn't it a shame that we rarely take time anymore to sit down and write a note to a friend or relative? Life seems to get busier all the time.. we hurry through the day with a list of things to accomplish. Email is faster and easier than taking time for a phone call, and rarely do we see personal correspondence in our mailbox - bills and flyers make up the bulk of our mail these days. The art of letter-writing is becoming a lost art. Children no longer practise cursive writing but their keyboarding and texting skills are exceptional... Would most children today even know what a notecard is for? Sometimes you have to wonder if we are becoming too technologically advanced.. What do you think?

Notecard Party at Vee's

I'm trying something new! This is my first time joining Vee's monthly Notecard party. The "rules" are very simple- all you have to do is post 4 photos (which have appeared previously on your blog) that you feel would make good notecards. I have no shortage of photos so figured it was time I joined in on the fun.
I do frequently use some of my photos on actual cards as notecards, sympathy cards, birthday cards, etc. In fact I have toyed with the idea of making up a number of them and starting a little Etsy shop.. just haven't found the time to actually do it! Maybe someday...
Anyway, here are my four choices for this month's notecard party. I hope you'll pop over to see Vee at her Blog - A Haven for Vee - and check out all the other participants. You'll see some lovely photos...And while you're at it, why not join in the fun? My choices below have all been taken  and posted within the last month.
