Anyway, back to Prague. Our first day there, we happened upon this fountain.. we both did a double take... yes it's just what it looks like - two (anatomically correct) men peeing....
Here's a statue of Sigmund Freud.. just "hanging' around".... it's a rather eye-catching, if not disturbing image. Freud apparently had a great fear of his own death, along with a number of other phobias... So, here he is, just hangin' on with one hand, perhaps pondering whether to hang on or let go...
I have mentioned previously about the number of newly-weds we saw. Ivan told me that all these couples are Russian - they come here to Prague to be married. I suppose it is a wedding and honeymoon all in one...? Anyway we were a little surprised to see newlywed couples strolling the streets or Charles Bridge, still in their wedding garb. This couple was in Wenceslas Square, and stopped for a photo with "Shrek" who was advertising for a Thai Massage Parlour- you know- the type that has the foot massages where you put your feet in a tank of water and little fishies nibble away the dead skin... No, I did not try it out... no sirreeee... much as I would have loved a foot massage, I wasn't putting my little footies in that tank of hungry fishies...
This building, Tančicí Dům, has been nicknamed the "Dancing House". It is actually an office building, with a fine French restaurant on the top floor. Designed by architect Frank Gehry (who designed the equally striking Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao Spain), it reminds many of Fred and Ginger- see her wispy dress and Fred's metal mesh head? So modern after all the other architecture we have seen...

This last shot was taken in a shopping mall off Wenceslas Square that Ivan led me to, I would never have found it on my own.... hmmmm... interesting.. looks like a bit of a snafu to me.....
Stay tuned for a few more posts on our Prague trip...
Peace,
Linda

Wow Linda! So many exciting things going on your life. All wonderful things.
First, best of luck to Laura. I'm sending positive thoughts your way for successful apartment hunting and that she gets settled quickly.
Thanks for sharing your photos from Prague. Very interesting and I hope you enjoyed the trip.
Hahahaha! Truly represents the concept "art is in the eye of the beholder", eh?
Wow. those are some really interesting sculptures/architecture, Linda. Congrats to Laura for getting a full time job. I hope her hunt for accomodations goes well and that you will get a little trip out of it too. Pam
