Input Please...

Here it is - my "Not Quite Civil Pineapple" miniature. Right now, it measures 8.75" square. The blocks finish at 2.75". I can't decide whether to add borders or not - what would you do? Would you just leave it as is, or add a border or two? Decisions, decisions... The next thing, of course will be how to quilt it? All suggestions and input welcomed....

Piece!

It is so small Linda that I would probably just put a binding on it. Either that or a very narrow border and binding of the same colour. It is an awesome quilt Linda! Can't believe how many pieces of fabric you have in such a small project. I am always drawn to miniatures at shows, and stand there gob smacked at the tiny, tiny works. And yours is no different.

That is such a beautiful and bold design. I guess a simple quilting stitch would be nice. I finished my book, 'My name is Resolute' last night. I'm wondering if you'll read it. It's one of those books that I'll never forget! Hugs!

I don't know enough to offer an opinion other than that I like it!

You know I don't quilt Linda, but I'd like to see a dark border around the piece.

I say skip the border but the quilting design is beyond me. It'll be interesting to see what you do.

I hope you teach a miniatures class on your next visit to SoFlo. If so, let me know in advance so I can take a vacation day!

I LOVE this one Linda. Oh my, it's so pretty as is but I'm not a quilter so maybe a border would be the thing to do. I like it as is. Great work!

Interesting comments. I would add a dark( is black in your piece?) the size of your pineapple strips, then perhaps a thin blue boarder with a black (or the dark)binding. After auditioning, a decision re the blue is easier...
I LOVE it!

I love it the way it is, but maybe a border would give it a more "finished" look and a frame for the exquisite work. Either way, it's a winner! Jeanne Kaye

I love this project!! I'm still in awe with the size! I also struggle sometimes to decide whether to border or not. I think a narrow border as suggested by Kathy would look great.

Exquisite!!!
I am imagining this in a full size quilt. How many years would that take?

Simple dark color border and simple quilt stitch. It is too beautiful to something more!

Just amazing Linda! I prefer borderless. Just the way it is.

A small border in the width of the block strips in my opinion! It's beautiful!

Wow so small. I'd like to do a mini some day... I think a narrow border would frame it nicely. The block pattern is so striking that maybe a complicated quilting pattern would get lost. I would not stitch in the ditch for every log, but maybe around the block centers.. hmm... so sweet. Love it..

I would leave it as it is , just beautiful , it doesn't need a border !
