Who Doesn't Love Tulips?

I don't have many tulips, many of the bulbs I've planted over the years have died out. These ones
were planted by my mother years ago in a small bed by her driveway and they come up faithfully every year even though they are pretty much neglected.... She loved them so, and now I am enjoying their cheery bright colours. I think of her every time I look at them. I hope you enjoy them too!

Here is the same clump, a few years ago on a beautiful blue-sky day.... couldn't quite replicate the same shot this year

Peace,
Linda

They are very pretty indeed! We can't grow them here, our summers are too hot......but towns higher up, an hour away, can.

You are lucky if you have tulips returning for many years because they don't naturalize like daffodils and usually peter out. There are some wonderful colour combinations though, aren't there?

I love your tulips. They thrive in some gardens. They disappear in mine!! One year we planted 100 bulbs. Then the moles came along and had a feast. A few years ago we planted the most beautiful black ones. The came up a few years and then, yup, gone. Now I just admire them in everyone else's garden. Yours are beautiful.

They are really pretty Linda but it's a shame they aren't tended like they used to be. Hasn't the weather been glorious?
