We Will Remember Them

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them."

From Laurence Binyon's poem For the Fallen, written in September 1914

Peace,
Linda

Yesterday my husband and I enjoyed lunch with other Vets. We were commenting that it seems like there is more interest and honor given to Veterans now than there ever was before in our lifetime. My husband was in Korea when the Pueblo was taken stationed at the DMZ. Just about every boy I knew back then went off to Viet Nam. I hold the Vets close to my heart especially MIA. I will never understand war.

Those words and the poppy legacy he has left are so touching.
