April Blues

Not much to say tonight, my brain is tired... mushy...blah... but I thought you might like to see and enjoy some of what's blooming in my garden right now. Not that there's a lot... and there seems to be a lot of blue.... of course that has nothing to do with the fact that I love blue... (wink) After enjoying some really nice weather (seems like so long ago now) we seem to be back to more typical temps. In fact it's been downright chilly. Tonight again it's dropping below zero overnight... yuch.. All my poor little blossoms will be shivering...  So at right we have Chionodoxa (common name "Glory of the Snow"), and below top to bottom, Pulmonaria (common name "Lungwort" and also called "William and Mary", I believe), Scilla Siberica (common name "Squill") and lastly, one lonely tulip in a Squill sea, compliments of the neighborhood squirrel population - they love playing tricks on me, rearranging my bulbs...

Peace,
Linda

Oh Linda, how perfectly lovely! No blooms here I'm afraid...not even a dandelion, but I must say your squirrel has a good sense of colour because blue and yellow are a perfect combination!

Beautiful Blues. Flower gazing can just make your day cheerful, don't you think?

It's nice to see blooms. I can't seem to get warmed up. I'm wearing shawls, sweaters, and slippers constantly. I hope May brings warm weather..

a beautiful post ~ love seeing what's growing in your garden.
a squirrel with a green 'thumb'. that's every gardeners dream come true~!~lol
we don't have tree squirrels here and i do like watching them whenever we go somewhere where they proliferate. so playful~!
do they eat the bulbs too or just move them around for you?
i've heard that they can be quite the pest but it's hard not to love them anyway . . . maybe that's because they're not trying to turn my attic into a special indoor nest and play arena or driving my dogs into fits of barking . . . maybe.

Your garden is going great Linda. I guess I don't have many spring bloomers other than daffodils and tulips. The blues are good ones. The weather looks good for the next few days. :)
